Philip is a member of the firm's civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law departments.

Prior to joining the firm, he gained experience in litigation matters through both public and private employers, including the United States Department of Justice as a legal intern. In these capacities, he has conducted case law, agency and tort research, and has experience in trial practice, including motion practice.

Philip is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he was awarded the Judge Joseph Harper Memorial Award for excellence in trial advocacy. He was an active member of the Juvenile Defense clinic in Columbus, representing accused indigent juvenile offenders. He served as a staff editor on The Ohio State Journal Of Criminal Law. He received a CALI Award in Trial Practice for the highest score in his class.
